Amira the Artist

Amira has the look, the sound, and the smarts to make it in the music industry. Self-taught, Amira strikes listeners with her young look, powerful voice, and confidence. As a performer with unlimited potential, she has the look of Aaliyah and the musical style of Jojo. Born in Clinton, Maryland and the only child, Amira knew that she wanted to sing. “It took my mom coming into the house to hear me singing in the shower in order for her to take me seriously. It was at that moment that my parents realized that I had the talent and ability to sing professionally,” states Amira. “My first love is music and I know that it’s the one thing that I want to spend my life doing, so why not make a living out of doing something that I, both, love and enjoy?” At the age of 13, Amira recorded her first song with producer, Jerome ‘Rome’ Jefferson. Since then Amira has been in a few talent shows. One in particular, she entered into her high school talent show and took home 1st place.

Some of Amira’s influences include: Beyonce, Jojo, Whitney Houston, Patti Labelle, and Taylor Swift. Amira is a lover of any and all music. She feels that if the music sounds good and it’s to her liking than there is no reason why she shouldn’t continue to listen to that particular song or artist. “I listen to any and everything! My iPod has a variety of genres. I do not discriminate when it comes to music. I feel that music should be something that it’s listener could relate to, and appreciate. Therefor, the artist and/or genre should play no part in whether or not a song is considered likable,” says Amira. Even though Amira will listen to almost any genre her favorite genres are: Pop, and R&B. Currently, unsigned, Amira is in the studio writing and recording with producer, Kevin Jackson, Jr. Amira states, “I am definitely ready to take the next step in my musical career!”  Amira has worked with Mark Wolff Jr., and Dorian Reyes, Red Rock Studio/ Miami Sound Machine
